I just read about the Catalog Living blog on Apartment Therapy. It's the exact voice inside my head that chimes in while looking through fashion photography images. A good idea just may be brewing! But until then, enjoy the funny observations at Catalog Living. I sure am.

(and just to stake my claim, I've been throwing around the idea of a BAD fashion streetstyle blog...only, I'm not quite mean enough to take pics of the don'ts while out and about. this will be infinitely easier since images are already existing).

WANT: effortlessly cool silk jacket

Drooling over this jacket. Just another thing I don't need (again, life enhancement?!) but believe would just make me that much cooler/happier/closer to my dreamlife by owning. Nevermind it's really just a super expensive glorified windbreaker jacket- look at that beautiful sunny color- and forget nylon- it's a sumptuous silk! Ha. Yes, really...a necessity. But oh so nice to look at...and I just KNOW I'd wear it every day. (actually, that's the reason I can talk myself out of it...who wants to look like big bird every day?) But of course, I wouldn't look like BigBird in my imagination...

Anyway, I just love pieces like these. Effortless, slightly boyish and with a harder edge (look at that neckline/collar) but with enough of a feminine twist (silk!) to make it special. I'm a sucker for jackets, what can I say?? Oh well. I figure posting it here would be juuuust as good as owning it. At least in a virtual way...

Yesss...I'm $189 richer by not buying this jacket. Is that how it works?! That mean's I've already made a fortune tonight!

LIFE: yesssss....mind over matter

Although I know i haven't been very interesting lately, I still haven't caught up with real-life enough to catch up with my virtual one. BUT, in other, more interesting news, (well, interesting to me), I just won out over my inner battle by narrowly missing an online shopping binge. After quickly adding many items to my shopping cart, I then emptied it one by one, taking the time to think about each item and imagining how my wardrobe would be improved. Then thought again if then my life would be improved at all. And the answer was no. So one by one, out they all went.

So even though I broke down with my sandals...(hey! I did mention in my original challenge post, that shoes and accessories would be allowed!) I haven't lost all of my willpower. Anyway, till we meet again. I do have some good eating pics on my camera though, just trying to gather that willpower for another day. Happy first day of summer!
